KidSport™ So ALL Kids Can Play! At KidSport™ we believe that no child should be left on the sidelines. That’s why KidSport™ eliminates the financial barriers to sport participation. KidSport™ is a community-based sport charity that provides grants for children age six to 18 to participate in a season of sport of their choice. For KidSport™ success is measured by the number of new sport opportunities created for children who would otherwise not have a chance to play. The benefits of sport participation are well documented. Playing sport supports development of self esteem, community engagement, confidence, leadership and teamwork skills. Through KidSport™ families dealing with financial hardship have one less thing to worry about, and can ensure their kids have an even playing field when it comes to accessibility to sport. For further information on obtaining assistance from KidSport or to how you can support KidSport Greater Victoria through donations or volunteering call (250) 387 -1375 or visit http://www.kidsportvictoria.ca/ |

Official Charity Pledge Program
The Royal Victoria Marathon is proud to continue a partnership project started in 2005 with several local, provincial and national charities.
The following charities are our 2008 recognized charities; they are participating in partnership with our event to raise awareness of the individual causes and raise the dollars needed through the collection of pledges.
Every dollar counts. You don't have to be a participant in the Royal Victoria Marathon in order to collect pledges. Anyone can collect pledges. Our goal this year is to raise more than $75,000.
Once you choose your charity of choice or you would like to find out more information about the charities and to receive a pledge package, you can contact the specific charity directly as listed below.
Add meaning to your race day experience. Run for a charity. It’s easy to get involved, simply choose a charity, and they’ll provide you with all of the tools and support to get you started! 100 per cent of all pledges collected go directly to the charity.
Good luck in your fundraising (and training) and thank you for helping to make a difference!
